This month, I partnered with Aveda Canada and Civello Salon & Spas, to give you a behind-the-scenes look at the ultimate Civello experience. I've been coming to Civello for a few years now, and I keep coming back for their amazing salon and spa services, and more often for my hair.
With locations in Toronto, Oakville, and Chicago, Civello offers a revolutionary approach to guest services called "Vision Crafting", which takes into consideration the lifestyle, personality, and physical traits of the guest aka you to create a look unique to each individual.
I'm particularly in love with their complimentary Aveda Sensory Rituals, which keep me coming back time and time again.
After you've settled into your black robe, you will be offered an Aveda comforting tea. All of their teas are caffeine-free, herbal blends. Try their licorice root and peppermint tea (my personal favourite) - it's seriously soothing, and better sipped slowly on a Sunday.
As part of the Civello ritual, your stylist will take you on an "Aveda Sensory Journey", introducing you to their exclusive collection of Pure-Fume flower and plant essences as a type of aroma therapy. It really depends on what scents intrigue you, but I've tried them all and I believe they're equally as good.
The aroma of your choosing will be brushed into the air in front of you, as part of your complimentary scalp and shoulder massage. Yes, that's right, massage. And, if you're especially lucky, you may also be offered a hand massage, at which time, you should definitely say yes.
When it comes down to the products, Civello uses solely Aveda products, which are plant-based and have been clinically-tested with respect for the earth - something that I love. Not to mention, they make your hair feel FAB.
If you're unsure of what products to use, your Aveda Advisor (the stylist) will guide you to the ideal shampoo, conditioner, and styling products to fit your needs/wants/desires.
I've been coming to Civello Rosedale for a while now, and my stylist Eduardo always knows what I want. I have naturally straight hair so the Aveda Smooth Infusion has become my best friend - literally, I use it at home too. He also uses the Smooth Infusion Nourishing Styling Creme after the washing process to keep my hair looking nourished and frizz-free.
If you're ever in the neighbourhood, give Eduardo a shout! He's also a magician with the straightener, as seen in my messy beach waves below.
And if you're looking to not break the bank on your first trip to the salon, I would suggest inquiring about Civello's Young Talent Salon. You get the same experience at entry-level pricing.
In addition to the hair salon, Civello also offers a variety of spa treatments, makeup applications, and bridal packages.
If you've been to Civello, whether it was for any of the above, comment below with your ultimate #CivelloExperience!
