I've always wanted to go to New York Fashion Week and this month I made it happen! With a lot of early planning, I had the chance to attend the Fall 2018 runway shows and presentations of some of my favourite designers, including fellow Canadian Tanya Taylor and the always entertaining Philipp Plein, who threw a night-time space-themed bash for his star-studded runway show. This trip turned out to be everything I wanted, and we even made time to hit up some of my favourite food spots like Nobu, Cipriani and the dreamy pink-clad coffee spot Cha Cha Matcha.
When it came to my looks, I wanted to keep it comfortable during the day since we were running around. For my first show look, I wore a plaid jacket from October Twelve like a blazer dress and matched it with a pair of suede boots from Stuart Weitzman. This jacket was so effortless to style and looked just as great transitioning into the night with a black slip dress and a pair of open-toe heels.
