POLKA DOT DRESS IN BARCELONA

DSC_1214.jpg

Barcelona is by far one of my favourite places. If not solely for the seafood tapas, this Spanish city has stolen my heart thanks to its city-side beaches, unique style and eye-catching, gothic architecture at every turn. For a late afternoon exploring Park Guell, one of Antoni Gaudi's iconic works located on Carmel Hill, I opted for a semi-sheer polka dot dress from Corbo Studio to compliment the playful tile backdrop.

Trying on this dress at Corbo Studio in Yorkville ahead of my trip, I had easily imagined myself wearing it in Barcelona. The loose-lined, silk fabric and viscose slip dress underneath made the dress easy to move around in for a day of exploring the city. While the polka dot pattern, which has notably become one of the season's most popular fashion trends, made such a chic statement for my otherwise relaxed daytime look.

For this ensemble, I paired the dress with Le Specs cat eye sunglasses and black leather espadrilles from Via Spiga, which made for the perfect overall combo against the vibrant city views. Scroll down to see!

BLACK LACE LBD IN DUBROVNIK

DSC_0980-4.jpg

These past few weeks of travel have been magical. After landing in Italy for a friend's wedding in Tuscany this month, I booked a week off in one of the most amazing places I have ever been to: Croatia

Positioned along the coastline on the Adriatic Sea, which has some of the most stunning turquoise water I have ever seen, it's no surprise that Croatia has been on my travel bucket list for quite some time. With one week to spare, we divided our time between Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik, which became a favourite thanks to the city's distinctive Old Town encased in 16th century stone walls, giving it that Game Of Thrones feel.

For stunning sunset views in Dubrovnik, we went to the Hotel Excelsior, which is set directly by the shore and overlooks Lokrum Island and Dubrovnik's Old Town. I wore The Manania Dress from Corbo Studio, which featured an a-line silhouette, adjustable straps with strass detailing and a black lace overlay that perfectly matched the evening's oceanic backdrop.

Walking on stone along the waterfront, I opted to wear a shorter heel with my black-suede Vince sandals and round-frame Gucci sunglasses, which have become my vacation go-to. Comment below with your favourite fashion must-haves when travelling.

CORBO STUDIO RIPLIS DRESS IN PIENZA

DSC_0400-4.jpg

It feels like I can never stay away from Italy for too long. After heading to Rome and the Amalfi Coast last fall, I visited the charming town of Pienza, located in the southern part of Tuscany, for a friend's wedding last week. Framed by 15th-century buildings and rolling hillside landscapes, this UNESCO World Heritage Site presented the perfect backdrop to showcase this stunning Riplis Dress from Yorkville's Corbo Studio.

The dress, designed By Malene Birger, features a plunging neckline with a pleated chiffon skirt and cinched waist. Partially underlined, the beauty of the dress appears in the twisted snake print in orange and green.

To compliment the design, I added my round-frame Gucci sunglasses with my favourite Stuart Weitzman patent leather heels, creating a look that was both feminine and effortless under the hot Tuscan sun.
